I have always been in love with The Body Shop's
skincare range from a young age when my older sister introduced me to their
Vitamin E cleanser, toner and moisturiser. I have been using them since I can
remember and it's always what I go back to when my skin starts to become a
little troublesome.
I think it’s the fact that they use all natural
products and are 100% vegetarian that just draws me towards their
products as well because you have that peace of mind that there aren’t any
harmful chemicals or anything that my potentially react with your skin.
So when I popped into my local Body Shop, I noticed
that they had a new range of skincare that was camomile. Camomile has always
been really soothing for my skin, especially when it gets slightly colder and
my skin gets dryer, so I just thought that it would be perfect for me at this
time of year.
Let’s start off with the cleansing butter.
The Emma Hardie cleaning balm has actually been in my
basket for months but I could never justify spending that much on something
that I probably wouldn’t even use that often. I wanted something that would
make removing my makeup so effortlessly that it would become less of a chore
and more of something that I enjoy doing at the end of every day. SO when I saw
this cleansing butter at £12 I couldn’t pass it up. I didn’t really know what
to expect from it as I have never really used a cleansing butter/balm before,
but I have to say, I am extremely impressed! You use the smallest amount EVER,
rub it between your hands to warm it up and to soften it slightly and then just
massage into your skin. You literally see your makeup melt off your face.
AMAZING. I usually just remove this with a warm flannel/muslin/face cloth and
it leaves my skin feeling super soft, clean and fresh. It is also quite
moisturising as well which is nice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone
who has slightly dry skin.
So now on
to the eye makeup remover.
I haven’t
really ventured out to try a new eye makeup remover since I fell in love with
the Botanics on (blog post here) so I
thought it was time to try something new, so I decided to get the Gentle Eye
Makeup Remover.
Two
cotton pads soaked in this stuff removes even the most stubborn of mascaras and
isn't drying or tough on your skin. This is another one of them that is good
for any kind of makeup, not only eye makeup so I sometimes just wipe this over
the entirety of my face and I'm done! It's good for those lazy days when you
don’t want to go through the hassle of using maybe a cleansing oil, or butter,
or even if you can't be bothered to do a double cleanse to get everything off.
It takes off the majority of my makeup off so I'm ready for the next step.
Again, it
leaves my skin super soft and clean and it is quite moisturising as well. I
would recommend this to anyone really! It is suitable for all skin types and at
£8, it's something that's good to have for those lazy days!
ALSO if
you do have a Body Shop card, you get 10% off every purchase and then they also
have special double discount day’s as well so you would get these two for £16
instead of £20 which is something not to miss!
Have you
ever tried any of The Body Shop's skin care range?
I haven't been in The Body Shop for years. I used to love it when I was younger but nowadays I can never justify spending the money and favour other brands - this post has made me want to rediscover it all! You blogs great - I would really appreciate it if you checked out mine!
