Body Favourites

Soap and Glory Butter Yourself Body Cream £10.50
The Body Shop Mango Body Mist £7.50
Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel £4.00

So this week I have decided to go for the body favourites, this is because the weather has picked up a little (and by a little I mean a lot, compared to the rain) and in the hotter months (or days) obviously everyone's outside, enjoying the sun, and that's all well and good, except for at the end of the day when the sun has gone down, and everyone feels knackered. There's nothing better than a good refreshing shower for a little pick me up, and I LOVE using these three products together to leave me feeling fresh, and there's the added bonus of smelling fruity!

Soap and Glory Butter Yourself. This has been in my drawer for a while but I have only just recently started using it again. I have to say I LOVE IT! I didn't actually buy this myself, in Boots at the time, they had an offer on that if you spend £10 on Soap and Glory products, then you get this body cream for free. I was actually buying the Sugar crush  Body Scrub and the Foaming Body Wash so this just came as a bit of a bonus!
The smell of this body cream is just so luxurious, it is very fruity and lasts ages! This cream has little bits of gentle exfoliants as well as being very moisturising so it is really good at getting rid of bits of dry skin and making it really smooth and feeling velvety.
It contains lots of different fruits like oranges and figs. This is mainly where the scents come from, but they've also added one of their fragrances called 'Fruitingo'

Mango Body Mist. Now I had heard a lot about The Body Shop's perfumes and body mists, but I had never really tired one out as I have always been true to my Bath and Body Works body mists. But, when I ran out of that, I decided that it was time to venture out and try something new. After careful deliberation, and a good 15 minutes wasted umming and ahhing about which fruit to choose, I went with the mango one. Its safe to say that I love the smell of this spray, it's so fruity and reminds me of the summer. However, it doesn't last as long as I had hoped, and this means that you have to keep topping up throughout the day, which is the annoying thing, but I actually don't mind this because every time you spray, you instantly feel better! At £7.50, it's not the cheapest body spray, but i'm not complaining. I really like to just keep this in my bag if I am out, just have there in case I fancy a mini pick me up. I find that i like it most on warm summer evenings.

Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel. The best thing about this is the smell! It just smells so amazing, and fruity and summery! I just can't get enough! I love the fact that you hardly need any to lather up in the shower, so it really does last a long time. Another thing which is fab is the fact that this also doubles as a bubble bath, so if you've had a long day, just bob this under running water and it will foam up quite nicely, and of course you get the added benefit of the smell in your bath. The smell doesn't linger for that long after you've showered with this, but for me, I tend to cake myself in sweet smelling body butters (like the soap and glory butter yourself one) so even if the smell did last, it would probably masked by everything else! It is £4 and they had a 3 for 2 offer on recently, so definitely have a smell of these next time your're around The Body Shop, they have so many different fruity smells to choose from, you really can't say no with that amazing price tag!

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Polishes

Grapefruit

Greenberry

Watermelon

I used to be obsessed with Barry M nail polishes, but then I decided that I didn't really like the brush or the formula of them and that there were many other brands for around the same price that were so much better quality.BUT then Barry M brought out their new range of nail polishes, the gelly's and this changed my view altogether and has put Barry M on the top of my nail polish brands list once again.

Grapefruit is a vivid pink with an orangy undertone, I would describe it as nearly neon, and looks great on tanned skin, Greenberry is my favourite of these three, it is a striking green with a bit of blue through it, I just love the look of it on my hands (being olive skinned) and it just looks so summery. And finally Watermelon is a lovely deep teal green, I think i would much prefer this in the winter months, but I love how rich the colour is.

The thing I love most about them is the fact that they are super shiney. They look great in the summer, with the sun coming down. And this also means that there is no need to apply a topcoat! I have also found that these polishes do last a long time, on my nails they last around 5 days without a chip. I find this incredible because it means I don't have to change my nail varnish as often! And also this is especially good in the hotter months as you don't want to be sat about painting your nails everyday and polishes tend to get rather gooey and sticky when they are warm. The brushes are also fantastic as they spread out across your nail and can have it done in maybe two strokes which means you're done in half the time! They are obviously not as hard wearing as gel nails done at the salon but are a great DIY version, and for £3.99 they are perfect, especially for the quality you are getting.

If you haven't already, I suggest you go out and buy a couple of these nail polishes! Trust me, you won't regret it! They also have loads of new colours out in their summer collection so make sure you pop down to Boots to have a look when they next have them on 3 for 2!
