Most Used: March 2015

This month, my skin has been suuuuper dry so I have been using the Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil every night to inject some moisture back into it. I love this serum/oil, I think this is my third one, but a little goes a really long way and has not only help quench the thirst but has also visibly improved any hyperpigmentation that I had previously. I have been using this in conjunction with the Weleda Skin Food. I have a full post on this so I'm not going to say too much about this but it has literally saved my life! My favourite lipstick this month is MAC, Captive. It is a beautiful plum colour, and has a satin finish so is not drying on the lips at all. I love this applied lightly and then blotted for an everyday flushed look. I think it compliments my skin tone really well and I just haven't put it down all month! I have been using the Cool Cos Single Eyeshadow in 60 I posted about before Christmas a lot more this month. I like to pop this on my eyelid, really close to the lash line, instead of liquid liner it gives a beautiful undone look which I love for every day. My absolute favourite nail colour of all time has to be Essie Mint Candy Apple. It reminds me of the summer! And I just love the off white colour and how it looks on my hands. The Sleek Eyebrow Pencil in Dark has been my brow's BFF this month. I bought this a while ago, but didn't really use it that often as I just tend to reach for my MAC duo for my brows, but recently, I have reeeeaaalllyyy got back into this and it is SO easy to use! You basically just colour in all the gaps and then brush it out with the spooly on the other side. It gives such a nice natural looking brow, and as it has a slight waxy consistency, it lasts all day! The Mac Studio Fix Powder in NC40 is another old favourite of mine. I like to use a big fluffy powder brush (like the one in this post) swirl it all over my face, and I'm ready to roll! I have been wearing a lot more jewellery this month too! This watch is from River Island, and is so good because it is both silver and gold so it will literally go with every single outfit!

The Staple Camel Coat

First things first, can we all just take a second to discuss the fact that my hair is now a normal colour. As you may know I dyed my hair red/pink in November - you can see the post on it HERE - but since then it had faded loaaaads and ended up just being ginger. I was tempted to bleach it again and then have it turquoise, but the ends of my hair were so damaged and dry from bleaching it previously so I decided against this and went for boring dark brown. BUT my hair now looks so much healthier, longer and thicker so I'm not complaining!

Now about the outfit! This camel coat is my favourite thing in the world. It is from Tesco, and I got it when they had the whole 'double up' your points thing, and I ended up paying a measly £14! SUCH A BARGAIN! I paired it with my Leigh Jeans from Topshop, A striped oversized top I got from She Inside last year, my New Look Heeled Boots, and my bag is from eBay!

Hope you've all had a lovely day!

Victoria's Secret Body Sprays

I absolutely looooove body sprays. I love the fact that they are not as concentrated as perfumes, so they don't last as long, but still make you smell delicious, and they are just fab for keeping in your handbag for those time you're on some kind of public transport during rush hour time - you know what I mean!

When my parents went to The States last year, they brought back literally a whole suitcase of body mists from Bath and Body Works, but I am on the very last one so I figure it's time to try something new!

This time around, I went for the Victoria's Secret Body Mists. The three that I picked up (they were 3 for £15) were Pure Seduction, Love Spell and Mango Temptation. Pure seduction is my absolute favourite out of all three of them. It is so beautiful and floral. It is the described as 'succulent red plum and sweet freesia'. The plum definitely comes through a lot, which I love! It is so refreshing and calming, and is the perfect spring/summer scent.

Love Spell is very fruity, with a mix of 'lush cherry blossom and juicy peach'. I love this scent as it is again very summery and happy, but would also be a good evening scent too, for a sexy touch. It is very very sweet smelling with the peach being the dominant scent in this. Such a fab everyday scent.

And finally, the third one I got was Mango Temptation. As it suggests, this one is very fruity as well. 'An exotic kiss of mango nectar and sext hibiscus. Again, definitely a spring/summer scent, and is very fresh BUT I would say that this smells more like passion fruit than mango, it is very much sweet and sour.

I literally wear one of these every day. They are so good to use on a daily basis. The lasting power isn’t WOW but it will suffice!

Have you tried any of these? What is your every day go to scent?

#ManiMonday

So I mentioned that that I made a trip to KIKO in a post a couple of weeks ago HERE and here is one of the nail polishes I picked up. It is in the shade 328 and is quite simply a grey! But it is the most perfect gray for my skin tone, and as the majority of my clothes are white, it goes quite nicely! These Nail Lacquers have a gel like finish and are super glossy. The brush is quite dense and thick so you could actually cover the whole nail in one swipe. Another thing I like about these polishes is the fact that it is really opaque, like with just one coat which is amazing for a light colour. The lasting power is round about average - well you can't have it all can you - lasting around 3 days with no chips.

Home Decor: Shelves

 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

I think everyone has been bitten by the home decorating bug recently, and I am no exception! We are currently thinking about re-decorating our house, SO I have obviously been doing loaaaaads of research - if you can call it that - to get some inspiration of what to have in our house.

Shelves are so versatile, they are not only fab for storage, but for displaying things too. I have already decided which walls in my living room will be taken up by some kind of shelving system but now, I need to look at different types of shelves and what I am going to put on them. I'm thinking lots of plants, candles, photo frames and decorative bowls! Here are some bits of inspiration!

Have you got anything like this in your house?

5 Things: How I am Going to Get Healthy

Now, I am literally the laziest when it comes to working out, and I loooove to eat all the wrong foods, so I have decided that I am going to make a conscious effort to get fit and be healthier.

Here is what I am going to do in effort to get back to the skinny person I once was:

1. Go somewhere scenic. The amount of times I have joined then gym, gone for a week and then quit is insane. I literally have no motivation at all because I get so bored! I have so much respect for those people who can run on a treadmill or use the rowing machine and not get bored! So now that the weather is hopefully going to get better, I will be going for walks (this will soon turn into runs) around a farm which is just behind my house. I'm hoping the change of scenery and the fresh air will keep me motivated.

2. Have a good playlist. This again is to stop me from me from getting bored! I love listening to music whilst working out because I like going to the beat haha! I have made a couple playlists of my own, but most of the times, I just find one on Spotify! It's such a good way to discover new music too!

3. Find a buddy. When I was at uni, I had my two best friends as my gym buddies and we used to go allllll the time and I lost so much weight and felt fab! Since then, I have moved back home, everyone is either working or lives further than walking distance so it's really difficult to get someone to motivate me. BUT my cousin has just moved back home too (she lives literally 2 minutes away from me) and I’m currently in the process of persuading her to come and exercise with me!

4. Get some foodspiration.  I think it is so important to eat the right foods whilst working out. I am the worst for this, I will get back from doing some sort of exercise and then will sit eating Nutella from the jar. Not pretty. So what I have been doing is collecting different recipes from various sites, including Pinterest, you know how much I loooove Pinterest! I have also been following loads of healthy and clean eating people on Instagram, they post loads of recipes on there so I just screenshot it and save it for later!

5. Start Small. No one is going to start exercising one day and be amazing at it. It's a good idea to start off small and gradually do more and more. I have started by cutting down on dairy, I eat a LOT of cheese, and going on short walks, and doing mini workouts that I have found on YouTube in the evenings. But obviously when I build up my strength, I will hopefully be going for a runs and maybe even joining the gym again! Because I know, that if I do too much at once, I will just fail at the whole thing.

Got any tips for getting healthy?
