Current Wish List

One of my all time favourtie pass times is to window shop online, especially when I have so many other things to do! So I thought I would share the things that have been placed on my wish list until the next installment of my student loan comes in!

The first is a curved hem mini skirt from ASOS for only £12.50. I think this would be such a nice addition to my wardrobe as I don't really have anything like it and I think it would go with almost anything.

The necklace is from a new jewellery website called Fashion Killa. You can find this necklace here. I fell in love with this the moment that I saw it. It's totally different to what I usually go for but I reeeaaallllyyy like it! It would make any outfit look more dressed up and would be fab for taking outfits from day to night. AND it is only £10!

The bag is from Zara. It is a city bag but it has a little flap with a zip. Available here. I have a similar bag which is also from Zara, but it is pretty old now and could do with replacing. I love the fact that this has a long shoulder strap along with the shorter handles too. Perfect as a day bag! It is £29.99 but I reckon I would get so much wear out of it!

These Superga trainers have been on my wish list for months! I think they would go with absolutely everything and would make any outfit look cool. And you can get student discount on them too! Avaiable on ASOS here for £45.

Fluffy jumpers are so in right now and I think I have found the perfect one from Topshop. It is in the petite section but I would want it to be slightly cropped so that it can be worn with dresses and skirts. It is currently reduced to £25 (or £22.50 with student discount ;))

And finally, these bangles are also from ASOS here. I've never been a big fan of bangles but they have become increasingly popular and I think they just look so cool! I chose gold ones because I have a gold watch and I like the contrast and these are £18 for two so not bad!

TK Maxx Bargains!

001. So I recently made a quick trip to my local TK Maxx, I just couldn’t resist the bargains to be found! In my opinion, TK Maxx is the best place to find cool and unique pieces for the home but it’s also a good place for beauty products! Now this was supposed to be a speedy visit but I ended up hovering around for far too long, and then got kicked out because they were closing, oooops! BUT I didn’t come out empty handed.

002. Firstly, I found a nice little Korres box alongside the other face and body products and it was the White Tea Fluid Gel Cleanser. I’ve never used any Korres products before but my best friend is very much into them so I was excited to give this a whirl. Korres as a brand pride themselves on creating natural products which are free of all the nasties so I thought it would be a nice addition to my skincare routine. I gave it a little bit of a sniff in the shop and it smelt slightly fruity, which I love! You are supposed to use this on wet skin and massage it in before washing it all off. As I said earlier, TK Maxx is the perfect place to find bargains, and this was one of them, it was priced at only £5.99 which is amazinngggg and keeps my bank balance happy!

003. Now this has to be the bargain of the month! Three Essie nail polishes for only £3.99! If that isn’t incredible, I don’t know what is! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to choose the colours as they came in a little box but I don’t mind because they are all nice colours anyway :). The one on the left sadly doesn’t have a name :( but it is a dark grey colour with streaks of green running through it alongside a slight golden shimmer. The middle one is called ‘Skirting the issue’ it is a deep raspberry colour with slight brown tones which would look lovely on all skin tones, and finally the one on the right has a label on it saying ‘fiji’ but it isn’t Fiji haha! It is a lovely pale pastel pink colour. All three of these colours have the usual Essie formulation and are all opaque with only two coats.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser

A couple of months ago, I realised that I only really owned full coverage foundations, I felt like it was time to invest in a good high end tinted moisturiser. I decided on the Laura Mercier Tinted moisturiser after hearing about everyone in the blogosphere raving about it!

I used it a couple of times but I just wasn’t  a huge fan of it at the time, I had very angry skin and I just felt more comfortable wearing a very heavy coverage foundation instead so it ended up being pushed to the back of the drawer and I just totally forgot about it!

When I went on holiday during the Christmas break, none of my foundations were the right shade for me anymore so I reverted to looking through my collection for a light coverage tinted moisturiser type product as my skin had become clearer and blemish-free. This is when I rediscovered this beaut of a base!

The formula blends so beautifully and sinks so quickly into the skin to create such a fresh-faced and healthy look. I like to blend it in with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush which makes my skin look airbrushed! It leaves a gorgeous dewy glow with enough coverage to even out the skin tone and it even lasts all day. It is pretty sheer in terms of coverage (It is described as the ‘no-make-up-look’) but paired with a good concealer for those spots, blemishes and under eye dark circles, you’re good to go.

I got it in the shade ‘Tawny’ which is in fact the perfect match for me, which is around an NC41 in MAC.

Available for £33.50 (Ouch!) at Space NK.
