Nails Inc: Lowndes Square

I got a new nail polish, and I think i'm in love! This is Nails Inc Lowndes Square. It is the most beautiful dusky grey lilac colour which is my absolute favourite. The thing I love most is how understated and chic this colour is. It also looks fab with my skin tone and makes me feel so sophisticated. The formula of Nails Inc nail polishes are so creamy so they apply like a dream, and it was fully opaque with two coats. The lasting power is impressive too! Lasted over a week on me which is amazing compared to others which tend to chip on me.

What is your favourite nail colour at the moment?

Autumn 2014 Wish List

I loooveee Autumn dressing. As you can see, I tend to go for monochrome with a slight pop of colour. So here is my Autumn 2014 wishlist, if only it all just magically appeared in my cupboard!

1. River Island jacket This would be such a good jacket for the Autumn, especially before it gets too cold because it's not too thick but it would also be fab to layer on top of jumpers etc when we get to the colder months.

2. NARS Guy Bourdin Nail Polish  I feel like this is the perfect colour for Autumn. It is actually my favourite nail polish colour because I feel like it suits my skin tone nicely.

3. ASOS bagThis is such a cute bag, big enough to fit your phone, money and keys in it, what else does a girl need?! I also LOVE the colour, I think it would look really nice with a monochrome outfit (my usual kind of outfit) and then this pastel pink pop of colour.

4. New Look Loafers In effort to be more smart in the way that I dress (now that I have graudated, I feel like I have to dress like a grown up) I have decided to put away the trainers for a while. These loafers from New Look are the right amount of smart, and for £19.99 (plus student discount) you can't really go wrong.

5. Office Knee high boots I have never owned any knee high boots before but after searching high and low for some, I think I have finally found the perfect ones. I popped into office today to try them on aswell and they are absolutely amazing! They fit like a dream. I think that when paired with leggings or black skinny jeans make any outfit look put together.

6. Urban Decay Glide on Eye Pencils  I have been after these pencils for a while now (i'm waiting for the 20% off event at Debenhams) I have really got into applying a different colour onto the bottom of my eyes. I think it spruces up my otherwise boring daily makeup.

7. River Island Blouse Again, in effort to be smart, I have been looking for blouses to wear on an everyday basis. The thing I love about this one from River Island is that it can either be casual if worn with jeans and trainers (it would also look cool with that jacket from River Island too) or with some tailored trousers and the New Look loafers. It is such a versitile piece and I can defintely see myself buying this in the next week or so (they have a student event happening soon yay)

8. ASOS Ripped MOM jeans I am yet to decide how I feel about MOM jeans, I have always, for as long as I can remember, worn skinny jeans but I think i'm ready to try something new. I quite like the ripped craze at the moment and I think these are the right amount of ripped.

9. Louise Young Super Foundation Brush  I have read so many reviews for this brush and it has been on my wish list for months now! Apparently it makes applying foundation a two second job and the results are flawless!

10. Zara Faux leather jacket  I have had my leather jacket for a couple of years now, and although it is still going storng, I can't help but lust over this Zara one. It is a bargain at £29.99 and looks amazing! When I saw this for the first time I honestly thought they had priced it wrong, the quality is amazing!

11. Fashion Killa Topaz Blue Necklace  After being at the Fashion Killa Jewellery party, (you can see the video I made for them here) I have literally fallen in love with every single one of their necklaces. This week though, the Topaz Blue statement necklace is my favourite. I feel like it would look lovely on top of every single basic that I own, as it's not too loud, but still would bring a little colour into my outfit.

What's on your Autumn wish list?

The Sunday Post #1: Make up Brush Maintenance

Cleaning your make up brushes is one of those tasks that everyone hates but has to do, it's always one of those tasks that gets left behind. I can't even stress how important it is to make sure that your brushes are nice and clean, especially if you use them on a regular basis. Dirty make up brushes can lead to bad skin and breakouts, purely because you're basically applying old make up residue back on to your face. AND your make up will apply so much better if you're using clean brushes - which is definitely a plus!

Luckily, I have found two fool proof ways to get your brushes super squeaky clean. How much time have you got? For a quick spot clean, I always reach for the MAC brush cleanser. I love this cleanser, it is really quick and easy to use. I pour a small amount onto a flannel, swirl the hairs around on there and ta-dah! Two minutes later your brush is ready for action.

If I have a little more time, I would get out the liquid soap and give them a deep clean - this is usually left for a lazy Sunday afternoon - My favourite is Dr Bronners 8-in-1 Magic Soap. I have the Lavender one which leaves my brushes smelling fresh! A small amount in the palm of your hand and massaged into the ends of a wet brush is all it takes. When this is rinsed out you will be amazed at the colour of the water! Give it a quick squeeze to get all of the water out and gently mould back into shape before leaving them balanced over the side of a table overnight to dry off.

What do you use to clean your brushes?
